The non‑profit organization Licht aims to restore the spiritual function of the churches of Huise, Lozer, Ouwegem, Lede, and Wannegem. Churches were originally intended as places to experience spirituality and connectedness. They have withstood centuries of prosperity and adversity. Their unique role lies in being spaces of experience where people can find stillness. Through offerings related to spirituality, symbolism, art, and more, we consciously strive to revalue the sacred experience. ‘Licht’ is open to all worldviews and religions that wish to approach our Western European Catholic and Christian tradition with respect. By creating space for silence and beauty, Licht seeks to contribute to the restoration of the damaged consciousness of modern humanity.”
